What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a marketing funnel? Why should every marketer use one?

It's a marketing strategy that you use to persuade potential customers to buy your products. This is a sales process in which someone visits your website to look up information that will solve their problem. You will be able to build a rapport with every person you meet using specific tools.

This will help you know the wants and needs of every user. This in turn will push you to provide the best possible information for all visitors. Visitors will feel more confident buying your product if you have gained their trust. The customer becomes the visitor.

In time, many customers turn into extremely loyal clients who are ready to purchase just about every product that your website promotes. A marketing funnel includes all the steps needed to bring a frequent user of your site into a loyal customer and purchase every item that you sell.

This is the main goal for any internet marketer. It is achievable with a properly designed funnel.

Your marketing efforts are capturing the attention of people, and bringing them into your funnel. Once they complete the forms that you have on your PERSONAL Lead Capture Page they enter the funnel. Since no one will opt-in on your business' lead capture page, I've said "personal". They are looking to become a leader and not a business.

The page for lead capture is where they begin the funnel. When they click the "Sign up Now" or "Enter here" buttons, they will be in a position to enter a new universe of marketing through networks.

The most appealing part is that they have qualified themselves to be able to do it. It's their decision. They don't have anything to offer you other than yourself as a leader and mentor, and as someone who can help to increase leads for their business.

This is how a standard funnel functions.

To attract and qualify customers to your product, you need to offer them a freebie on the "front end". To receive your product for free, join (also called opt-in) and give your email address and name. In turn, you will add them to your mailing list.

Once you have your contacts on your account, you are able to make them aware of offers that are similar to theirs.

When they sign up for the offer, they'll be taken to a webpage that provides a low price or, as it's known, a tripwire offer. This is the point when they'll be taken to the "back-end" of your funnel.

The purchaser will be taken to another similar offer with less cost when they buy the lower-cost offer (also known as an upsell). Also, the buyer will be taken to the next product if they buy the same deal at a higher cost. The process could be repeated for a number of more.
